Peachland

Welcome to Peachland

Located halfway between Kelowna and Penticton sits Peachland, BC. As the fairytale name suggests, Peachland is surrounded by a beautiful lake, mountains, and outdoor adventure. This quaint waterfront town is one of the smaller towns in the Okanagan but has no shortage of beauty, culture, and friendly locals.

Peachland is home to around 6,000 residents but sees a major increase in travellers during the warm summer months. The population is relatively older due to the common theme of migrating here for retirement. The slow-paced living, quiet winters, and welcoming residents make it an attractive place to settle down in the later years.

Getting to Peachland is easy thanks to its close proximity to the Kelowna International Airport and Penticton Regional Airport. By vehicle, it is about 4 hours east of Vancouver and 7.5 hours west of Calgary.

Although a popular summer destination due to its hot summers and easy lake access, the mild, cozy winters make Peachland an enjoyable place to visit year-round. We’ve outlined the most popular things to do, places to stay and eat/drink options below, so continue reading to explore what this laid-back Okanagan town has to offer!

Things to Do

Being the sought-after lakefront destination that it is, Peachland offers a wide range of activities for all ages. Hike up the well-known Pincushion Mountain for a bird’s eye view of the town and Okanagan Lake, spend the afternoon at Swim Bay, and walk along the beautiful waterfront path to visit various local shops and restaurants. There’s plenty of fun to be had here, and it’s all waiting to be explored by you!

Outdoor Activities

Would it be a true Okanagan town without an abundance of outdoor adventures at your doorstep? Of course not. For hiking, head up the famous Pincushion Mountain with 360-degree views of the valley or explore Hardy Falls Regional Park. On those hot summer days, spend your time at the popular Swim Bay where there’s something fun to do for all ages.

Wine

Although not a similarly high concentration of wineries compared to its neighbouring cities, Peachland has four wineries that are sure to impress. Explore these beautiful wineries and learn the unique history and production process that goes into these world-class wines. Within a short drive, you’ll have easy access to dozens of other wineries in both West Kelowna and Summerland.

Beaches

Swim Bay is without a doubt the most popular waterfront in Peachland, and for good reason. Diving boards, rope swings, docks, and a long stretch of beach are all reasons why the masses head here on those hot summer days. Two other less busy options are Davis Cove Beach and Antlers Beach

Family Fun

One of the most popular family-friendly activities is ZipZone Peachland. With a variety of ziplines that soar above the deep valley below, it’s sure to get everyone’s adrenaline pumping. If you’re looking to spend time on the beach, visit the Wibit Water Park to let the kids burn their energy on the floating jungle gym for hours on end.

Water Sports

If you’re looking to explore Okanagan Lake by kayak or paddleboard, head to Peachland Beach Rentals. Paddle up and down the shoreline to see the town from a new perspective, something you can’t appreciate until you do it! If you’re looking for a motorized boat, head to either Kelowna or Penticton for the largest variety of rental options.

Arts & Culture

The arts & culture scene is strong and proud here. Stroll the downtown strip and visit the local art gallery, museum, and visitors center.
