The Kettle Valley Steam Railway (KVSR) is a heritage railway located in Summerland, British Columbia, Canada. The railway operates on a portion of the former Kettle Valley Railway line, which was built between 1910 and 1915 to connect the Okanagan Valley with the southern interior of British Columbia. The KVSR offers visitors a chance to experience a piece of Canadian history and take a trip back in time on a restored steam train. The KVSR operates several steam locomotives, including a 1913 Baldwin 2-8-0 Consolidation and a 1912 Shay geared steam locomotive, both of which were built in the US. In addition to the steam trains, the railway also has a diesel-powered train and a number of restored passenger cars and freight cars.
