Welcome to Okanagan Falls
Sitting on the south shores of Skaha Lake is the small town known as Okanagan Falls (OK Falls), a community surrounded by rolling mountains, vineyards, and an abundance of activities. This little town got its name from twin waterfalls that once flowed from the end of Skaha Lake into the Okanagan River. In the 1950s, the falls were reduced into gentle rapids to reduce the amount of water flowing for flood control purposes. We thought it would be helpful to clear that up right away…
With a population of around 2,500 people, it’s a close knit community. During the summer months, tourists from all over come and enjoy the abundance of outdoor adventure, wineries, and rich agriculture. The winter months bring mild temperatures and the town itself quiets down. The simplicity of small town living, good weather, and friendly locals make it a great place to live.
Located 25 minutes south of Penticton and 40 minutes north of Osoyoos, Okanagan Falls is an easy place to get to. By vehicle, it is 4.5 hours east of Vancouver and 8 hours east of Calgary.
