About the Winery
Four Shadows Vineyard & Winery is a family owned and operated winery sitting in the rolling hills of the South Okanagan. Inspired by a photograph from a family vacation, this winery puts an emphasis on creating an atmosphere where anyone can come and enjoy their wine, no matter what their level of knowledge is. Known for its friendly staff and exceptional wine, Four Shadows is a must-visit in Penticton.
Owners Joka & WIlbert Borren migrated from Holland to Canada to start a family and experience the Canadian way of life. Originally owning a pig farm in Lacombe, AB, the two decided that it was time for new adventures and moved to the Okanagan. Farming is important to the Borren family, and they wanted to continue their way of life, which prompted their idea to purchase the 17 acre vineyard property in 2011 and open up Four Shadows. Over a decade later, the family has developed a strong and well respected name in the wine community and continues to do so to this day.
Wine Tasting
Four Shadows produces a variety of wines, many of which are recipients for various awards over the years. The vineyard boasts grape varietals that include Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. Their Riesling Dry has been their most popular award winning wine, and for good reason. Taste these varieties and many more in their bright, open tasting room from early spring to late fall. During the winter, the tasting room is closed, but you can purchase their wine at many liquor stores across the province.
