About the Winery
Commonly known as the Smallest Winery with the Biggest View, Savard Vines is an award winning boutique winery located in the beautiful rolling hills of Summerland. The humble beginnings of this winery comes with a great story. During the famous “Kelowna Fire” in the summer of 2003, the property that would eventually become Savard Vines was purchased. Despite its initial appearance of being untouched, with sagebrush and native grasses covering the land, a closer inspection revealed the remains of an old peach orchard. The new owners discovered that the orchard was abandoned due to the lone farmer not being able to haul water from the lake to the crops. This however did not deter Michael from his enthusiasm of creating something special.
Originally after purchasing, there were plans to plant garlic on the property, but being in the Okanagan, it was the wine culture that won them over. In May 2008, with the help of friends, over 5000 vines were planted by hand. Despite the difficulties of the task, the friends survived and remained close. Today, the vineyard specializes in planting equal amounts of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, with a small amount of Cab Franc and Malbec. Due to the natural contours and silt bluffs of the land, only 4.5 acres of the 10-acre plot can be farmed, with the other 5.5 acres providing a spectacular natural backdrop.

Featuring a mix of Pinot Noir, Red Blends, Pinot Gris, Rose, and more, the flavour profiles are a direct reflection of the terroir they come from. Each part of the winemaking process is done with the highest level of care, grapes are meticulously picked at their peak ripeness to produce superior wines with distinct flavours. Once you taste the wine, you’ll likely be buying a bottle or two. All of the wines are small lot productions, so be sure to get your hands on a bottle while you can!
