Located across the street Kalamalka Beach and at north top of the Okanagan rail trail is Kalavida Surf Shop. As BC’s original Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) shop, Kalavida opened its doors in 2009 and has been proudly growing and promoting the sport since then. The shop offers rentals, retail goods, SUP tours, and SUP lessons!
Kal Lake, located less than 100 meters from the front door is widely known as one of Canada’s premier paddleboarding lakes, thanks to its warm temperatures, beautiful water colour, and easy access. It doesn’t stop here, the North Okanagan is filled with lakes, rivers, and all types of exciting paddling destinations.
The Okanagan Rail Trail begins just steps away as well, and runs alongside Kal Lake, Wood Lake, and all the way to downtown Kelowna. This is a popular activity for both locals and tourists, and is definitely something we recommend checking out.
Shop
Kalavida is both a retail and a rental shop. On the retail side, they offer everything you need to either get out on the water or just simply relax on the beach – high end paddleboards, accessories, bathing suits, clothing, and more. Rentals
Kalavida’s rental offers consist of SUPs and E-bikes that give you access to endless opportunities for exploration.
E-Bike Rentals:
Choose from a full range of Electra Townie GO! E-Bikes, Electra Cruiser Bikes, and Kids Bikes.
Paddleboard Rentals:
Twin Fish Inflatable boards, Kids boards, and Multi-Person boards.
Parking For Renters
For all 2-hour rentals, parking in the main parking lot.
For longer rentals use the parking lot on the other side of the train bridge.
