Welcome to Peachland
Located halfway between Kelowna and Penticton sits Peachland, BC. As the fairytale name suggests, Peachland is surrounded by a beautiful lake, mountains, and outdoor adventure. This quaint waterfront town is one of the smaller towns in the Okanagan but has no shortage of beauty, culture, and friendly locals.
Peachland is home to around 6,000 residents but sees a major increase in travellers during the warm summer months. The population is relatively older due to the common theme of migrating here for retirement. The slow-paced living, quiet winters, and welcoming residents make it an attractive place to settle down in the later years.
Getting to Peachland is easy thanks to its close proximity to the Kelowna International Airport and Penticton Regional Airport. By vehicle, it is about 4 hours east of Vancouver and 7.5 hours west of Calgary.
Although a popular summer destination due to its hot summers and easy lake access, the mild, cozy winters make Peachland an enjoyable place to visit year-round. Things to Do
Being the sought-after lakefront destination that it is, Peachland offers a wide range of activities for all ages. Hike up the well-known Pincushion Mountain for a bird’s eye view of the town and Okanagan Lake, spend the afternoon at Swim Bay, and walk along the beautiful waterfront path to visit various local shops and restaurants. There’s plenty of fun to be had here, and it’s all waiting to be explored by you!
Outdoor Activities
Would it be a true Okanagan town without an abundance of outdoor adventures at your doorstep? Of course not. For hiking, head up the famous Pincushion Mountain with 360-degree views of the valley or explore Hardy Falls Regional Park. On those hot summer days, spend your time at the popular Swim Bay where there’s something fun to do for all ages.
Wine
Although not a similarly high concentration of wineries compared to its neighbouring cities, Peachland has four wineries that are sure to impress. Explore these beautiful wineries and learn the unique history and production process that goes into these world-class wines. Within a short drive, you’ll have easy access to dozens of other wineries in both West Kelowna and Summerland.
Beaches
Swim Bay is without a doubt the most popular waterfront in Peachland, and for good reason. Diving boards, rope swings, docks, and a long stretch of beach are all reasons why the masses head here on those hot summer days. Two other less busy options are Davis Cove Beach and Antlers Beach.
Family Fun
One of the most popular family-friendly activities is ZipZone Peachland. With a variety of ziplines that soar above the deep valley below, it’s sure to get everyone’s adrenaline pumping. If you’re looking to spend time on the beach, visit the Wibit Water Park to let the kids burn their energy on the floating jungle gym for hours on end.
Water Sports
If you’re looking to explore Okanagan Lake by kayak or paddleboard, head to Peachland Beach Rentals. Paddle up and down the shoreline to see the town from a new perspective, something you can’t appreciate until you do it! If you’re looking for a motorized boat, head to either Kelowna or Penticton for the largest variety of rental options.
Golf
Although there are no golf courses directly in Peachland, a short drive brings you to the beautiful courses of both Summerland and West Kelowna. Enjoy one of the longest golfing seasons in Canada and test your game at a variety of courses throughout the Okanagan.
Arts & Culture
The arts & culture scene is strong and proud here. Stroll the downtown strip and visit the local art gallery, museum, and visitors center. Many of the local artists draw inspiration from this beautiful region to create art in various forms that pay homage to the past and celebrate the future. Within a 15-minute drive, you can check out the Sncewips Heritage Museum to learn about the Okanagan’s history from a Syilx perspective, an important experience that everyone should have.

The Peachland Farmers and Crafters Market takes place every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the warm months and features a variety of local produce, farm products, and artisanal goods. Winter Activities
There’s no shortage of winter fun in Peachland. With a relatively even distance to Big White, SilverStar, and Apex, you have options when it comes to mountain sports. Closer to town, head to Wilson Lake for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, or when the temperatures drop enough enjoy ice skating at Mountain View Park!
Entertainment
There are often events happening in and around Peachland. Head to either Kelowna or Penticton for more entertainment options – within a 20-30 minute drive, you’ll have access to movie theatres, casinos, and busy nightlife!

Silver Lake Recreation Site is located 20 minutes west of Peachland and offers 6 first-come, first-serve campsites that sit along Silver Lake. This recreation site is equipped with a cartoon boat launch, ideal for those looking to get some fishing in.

Gasthaus on the Lake is a German-inspired pub that is very well known amongst locals in the region. This rustic-style, lakefront restaurant has an outdoor patio, unique decor, and most importantly delicious food. Bliss Bakery is the go-to coffee shop in Peachland. Located along the pristine waterfront, Bliss offers a variety of hot drinks, freshly baked goods, and hearty lunch food. Unlike many other bake shops, Bliss prides itself on making all of their baked goods in-house to produce the highest quality and best taste possible.
Beach Ave Cafe & Tapas Bar is a place that has two personalities. During the day it is an inviting coffee shop serving the delicious Spirit Bear coffee, baked goods, and mouth-watering crêpes. The evening brings on a new menu and atmosphere. Beach Ave turns into a European-style tapas bar that features a variety of salads, tapas, and local wines.

Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery is North America’s first producer of Icewine, something that has become very popular across wineries in the Okanagan. Come and learn the historical wine-making techniques that date back to the 1800s, take in the spectacular views of the valley, and taste the award-winning wines that Hainle is known for.
Saxon Winery produces unique wines that are tied to family heritage and tradition. This 4-acre vineyard sits in the shadows of Giant Head Mountain and is one of the oldest organic vineyards in the Okanagan.
