About the Resort

Baldy Mountain Resort is an alpine paradise, known for endless outdoor adventure. As the third highest elevation ski area in British Columbia, it offers a wide range of activities for skiers and snowboarders, including groomed runs, gladed areas, and snowshoeing trails. Located at the intersection of the Nk’mip Desert and the West Kootenays rainforest, it is a perfect destination for mountain enthusiasts. Skiing & Snowboarding

Baldy is an ideal destination for families looking to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. The mountain is renowned for its untouched powder, but also offers a wealth of other opportunities for adventure seekers. The resort features two chairlifts, a tee bar, and a magic carpet. With a wide variety of trail difficulties, skiers & boarders of all levels will be able to enjoy. Both the Eagle Chair and Sugarlump Quad Chair feature plenty of Green, Blue, and Black runs, with the sole Double Black Diamond run “C.D” on the Eagle. The runs are a mixture of groomed, treed, and gladed terrain which provides a fun mix. Never skied before but want to try it out? Great! Baldy offers ski and snowboard lessons, as well as full equipment rentals. No matter what your level of experience is, Badly has something for everyone!

Additional Winter Activities

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are both popular options, and the resort has a dedicated trail system for these activities. After a long ski day, take advantage of the tubing park for only $7, as well as the disc golf course open year round! Head to the ticket office for free disc rentals throughout the week.

Facilities & Accommodations

The resort’s facilities are top-notch, with a cozy day lodge that offers a variety of food and drink options and your favourite comfort food The lodge also has a fireplace and comfortable seating areas, making it the perfect place to relax and warm up during a day on the slopes.

Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave. Lucky for you, there are a handful of well maintained, rustic lodges for you and the family to stay at. Within walking distance of the chairlifts, these lodges provide a place to spend quality time with friends and family in a cozy, winter wonderland.

Summer Activities

Although more well known for its winter activities, Mt Baldy offers a wide selection of fun activities to attract people from all over in the summertime. Alpine hiking, disc golf, and mountain biking are just a few of the many reasons to visit here in the summer. The scenic hiking trails are accessed via the Sugarlump Quad Chair which is open daily from 11am to 3pm. Take advantage of the low crowds, fresh alpine air, and dozens of fun activities for the whole family!
